Take on the UKOSF Southern Finals Course

Take on the UKOSF Southern Finals Course

Take on the UKOSF Southern Finals Course this weekend!

After so much demand we have decided to open up this weekend so that you can take on the UKOSF Southern Finals Course.

Please not that this is a 'The P.T Barn' Event and not a UKOSF Event.

There will be 24 Adult Spaces available for the Saturday and 24 Adult Spaces available for the Sunday. With low numbers for the Juniors we thought it would be best for them to get in contact with us and let us know a time that would work for them. We could make availability after 13:30 Sat/Sun or potentially do the start of next week with the kids on holiday.

- Saturday - 10:00-13:30 - 24 Spaces.

- Sunday 10:00-13:30 - 24 Spaces.

10:00-11:00 - Practice on obstacles for all.

11:00-13:00 - Choose a time slot to take on the course (Participants go off every 5 Minutes). You will be able to watch others when not on the course as well as use Warm Up Obstacles.

- £20 to any UKOSF members who TOOK PART in the Southern or Northern Finals. Use Discount Code: SouthFinal (Anyone who uses this code but wasn't involved with the finals will be refunded and refused entry).

- FREE - to all volunteers who helped out at the South Finals . Your discount code will be sent to the what's app group (This must not be used by anyone else).

- £25 for all other Standard Entries .

- FREE - to anyone who volunteers as an Athlete Marshal (Race Sat if Marshal Sun - Race Sun if Marshal Sat). We will be looking for 4 each day. Athlete Marshal must be fit enough to jog up and down the course .

Between 10:00 -11:00 you will get the chance to practice the obstacles which you will be taking on during the Time Trial. You can ask questions and pick up tips on how best to tackle them. It is important that you maintain social distancing during this period.

Between 11:00-13:00 you will get the chance to take on the course (Once). You will pre-book a time slot (These are every 5 minutes between 11:00-13:00). During this time, you will be either watching, supporting, warming up, chilling out or taking on the course. You will not be allowed on the course/obstacles. Once you have finished your time trial you are welcome to stay and support others. Ideally we would like to try to keep Females spaces 11:00-12:00 and Male spaces 12:00-13:00 as much as possible.

The Time Trial will follow the same format, race route, obstacles and rules used in the UKOSF Southern Finals. We may change rules on some obstacles if the weather looks bad.

Please note that there will be NO SPECTATORS allowed (Not even sitting in the car in the Car Park). Please respect this. Refusal to do so will void your ticket.

You must leave all belongings in your car. You can leave your Key at the finish line.

You will need to agree to our COIVD Restrictions (will be done via this booking).

You will need sign a waiver (will be done via this booking).

You will need to read and sign that you have read and understood the General Race Rules.

You will only be able to take on the course for the time you have booked. There will not be space for you to take on the course at any other time.

It is your job to fully read and understand the rules. These can be found via this link: https://www.theptbarn.co.uk/ukosf-southern-finals-training

Obstacles and Penalties

Every obstacle failure will result in one penalty loop to be completed at the end of the course before crossing the finish line.

Only one attempt is allowed on each obstacle – no retries. Please refer to rules with regards to what qualifies as an attempt.

Penalties will be tallied by the Athlete Marshal who will follow you around the course.

The Athlete Marshal, Zonal Marshal or The PT Barn  may award penalties. These will be communicated to you when you receive the penalty with the total advised before you arrive at the penalty loop.

Some obstacles will be mandatory (for example Weighted Carry). Retries will be allowed on these obstacles.

Failure to use hand sanitiser at the start and finish will result in a disqualification.
